Lavelva Stevens
She is music minister at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Wytheville, and offers private music lessons-piano, organ, and voice-and sells Avon.
Many people throughout the New River Valley have been inspired by Lavelva's music because in her career as a church musician she has been music director and organist in Christ Episcopal Church and Trinity Lutheran Church in Pulaski and Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Blacksburg.
Lavelva holds a B.A. in organ performance from Lenoir-Rhyne College and a Master of Sacred Music from Wittenburg University.
She has been a member of Wilderness Road Chorus since 1999 and has sung in several different quartets.
